Low Or No Carb Diets

Low to no carb diets are the general term for most of the diets that restrict the bad carbohydrates in order to lose weight. These carbs include bread, flour, sugar, potatoes, pasta, soda, fruit, candy, cookies, baked goods, rice and alcohol...seemingly all the foods you love.

It's a tradeoff...stop eating these foods and you will lose weight or eat them and remain as heavy as you are or heavier. Well known diets such as Atkins and South Beach are examples of Low to No Carb Diets. With these two diets, all of the above mentioned foods and drink are restricted for the first two weeks of your diet. This period is called the Induction period with the Atkins diet and Phase One with the South Beach diet. Normally this results in the loss of 10 to 15 pounds for most people.

From personal experience, I can tell you that these Low to No Carb diets work...they certainly worked for me. I lost 60 pounds in 6 months. That's the reason that these diets are used in so many diet programs in one form or another.
